Mars Combustion.
“Channelling frustrations with others into personal accountability”.
Mars gives us the courage and fighting spirit to change those things we don’t agree with, those things we think are wrong, often triggered by other people.
When Mars is active on a personal level, we are often breaking connection with others, or challenging them to some type of battle, over ideas or something else.
Obviously, sometimes this is necessary. We need to take a stand for things we think are wrong, and not get pushed around and disrespected.
But we don’t need to fight or argue with others. Communication is the purview of mercury, where there is a give and take of ideas, and when we are also open to their ideas, rather than just convinced we are right about everything.
But as I said, there are times when we need to confront, and we need to confront with words, convinced we are right, as we may be. In those examples, bring out mercury to do the speaking, with Mars behind the scenes ready to walk away or stand your ground.
When mercury and Mars interact in someone’s Natal chart these things can get very confusing. A person can be much more confrontational than they realize. What feels to them like “communication”, feels to others like “confrontation”, especially when they are aggravated or feel like you’ve done something wrong to them.
Be very careful of this now, as Mars is in Virgo, and about to be combust, very close to the sun. Combustion is called ”kopa” (angry/frustrated) in Vedic astrology, using Deeptadi Avasthas.
He will be combust until January of 2024. Until then, be careful of engaging in frustrated, confrontational communication.

The best use of Mars is to put our principles into action, to be disciplined in our actions, and change the things that are making us weak, rather than trying to change others based on what we think they should be doing better.
